The Southend Residents Forum is the liaison group between Residents, Southend Borough Council and South Essex Homes. Its membership is made up of two representatives from each recognised Residents Association, 4 members of the TVA, two Councillors from Southend Borough Council, the Chair and Vice Chair from South Essex Homes Limited, the Corporate Director of Adult and Community Services or his/her representative and the Chief Executive of South Essex Homes Limited

The Portfolio Holder for Adult Social Care, Health and Housing takes the role of  Chairman of the Southend Residents Forum with a Resident representative as Vice Chair.

This group meets on a bi-annual basis and considers issues that effect Council residents in the borough not solely related to housing. Examples of issues the group has reviewed are Waste Management, Grounds Maintenance and Anti-Social Behaviour.
